Well, I use to be like you. I never believed in this born again thing. I even didn't like those born again people but today I am born again and have given my life to Jesus. I have received him as my Lord and Savior and believe on his name.

" But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name." John 1:12

I got to understand why the need to be born again when I made a research on acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), the killer disease everybody knows of and wants to avoid. I asked myself one question, if I have been diagnose of aids and given the opportunity to be born again physically, will I say No? I don't think so. If I reject such a great offer, I know for sure that I will die of the disease. Somebody close to me died of aids because he rejected the treatment. The wages of aids is death. Death does not take no for an answer unless some thing is done.

I always relate the nature of this disease AIDS to sin.

Let's say a baby born with this disease was offered the opportunity to be born again, will he or she allow him or herself to be born again? I guess the answer will be absolutely yes. Let say you went to the hospital and you were diagnosed of AIDS and you are offered the opportunity to be born again, will you allow yourself to be born again? Well is it your fault that you have the HIV virus or is it the baby's fault that she has the HIV virus? No. This is because neither you nor the baby developed the disease. The baby acquired it from the mother through birth. The mother might have acquired it from the husband or from another man before marriage and having the baby. The newborn baby is suffering for something she did not do. You might have had it from an unprotected sex but let me be honest with you here, there is nothing like unprotected sex. You are also suffering and you know that the end result of AIDS is nothing but death. You are then offered an opportunity to be born again AIDS free and you are telling me you will reject such an opportunity. I don't think so. To discover that you have AIDS makes you look at your self as a useless person on earth. You find it very difficult to continue with life. Your wife or husband will have the disease and your children will also have the disease. An incident like that happened when seven people ended up with HIV Virus including two innocent babies. Think deep about this.

Now I want to replace the AIDS disease with sin and tell you all about sin and being born again.

There is none without AIDS, no, not one:

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

For all have AIDS, and come short of life

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Wherefore, as by one man AIDS entered into the world, and death by AIDS; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have AIDS

Wherefore, as by one-man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

From this you could realize that we were all born sinners just like the baby was born an aids patient. David said that Behold, I was sharpen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

The baby grows up as an aids patient so also we grow up as sinners and if there is no cure for aids he or she will definitely die. If he or she should have children, all of them will become aids patients. So also if there is no cure for sin all of us will die of sin but thank God there is cure for sin. You must be born again. Like I said earlier if you are an aids patient and you are given the opportunity to be born again, I think you will be born again.

" There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that you are teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
